Here we illustrate example input and output for ScreenTroll. Five open reading frames (ORFs) are chosen, BUB1, BUB3 MAD1, MAD2 and MAD3 (YGR188C, YOR026W, YGL086W, YJL030W and YJL013C respectively). ScreenTroll will accept common gene names or systematic names. These five ORFs are critical components of the spindle assembly checkpoint (SAC), which plays an important role in delaying the cell cycle in the presence of DNA damage. The ORFs are compared against the ScreenTroll database excluding competition assays. Scroll down to view the results showing a list of screens that most closely match these five ORFs in order of closest match. Further down the page are more details of each overlapping set of ORFs.
Welcome to ScreenTroll from SGD. If you have arrived at this site from an ORF page in SGD, you will only see the ScreenTroll results that summarize the screens that identified this single ORF. The power of ScreenTroll comes from comparing multiple ORFs. Try entering more than a single ORF into ScreenTroll to view a list of published yeast screens that most closely match your set of genes.
